- Beth Tavel
- One of my New Year's Resolutions was to paint more often. Having two small children makes this quite a challenge, but I have been inspired by many of the Daily Painters I have seen, and felt drawn (no pun intended!) to join the movement. Fortunately, I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive. My goal is to create one small painting each day which I will post to this blog. I have always loved the arts, but only began painting a couple of years ago. I have been so fortunate to have had a wonderful mentor in Martin Ahrens. Martin and his wife Joyce Hall Ahrens are both incredible artists and instructors who emphasize the importance of light and shadows in making a painting come to life. I hope that you will enjoy my work. Please don't hesitate to comment, either positively or negatively. I hope to never stop learning and growing!

Summer Marsh 1 & 2

Did I say "daily paintings?" I meant MONTHLY paintings! Well, I really hoped that I'd be able to paint more often, but life is so crazy! These are two paintings that I was commissioned to paint for a charity auction for Park-Maitland, a private school in Winter Park, FL. I was very pleased with how they turned out. Loving the colors and the clouds! Please pardon the background intrusion, I couldn't get my camera to focus in on the paintings alone because of the size. I will also post each painting separately. They will be framed for the auction.
