I love this painting! The light and shadows really make it pop out. The colors were a bit exaggerated, but I like the effect very much. I also like the shadow of the church steeple on the alley roadway. This is oil on 9"x12" stretched canvas.About Me
- Beth Tavel
- One of my New Year's Resolutions was to paint more often. Having two small children makes this quite a challenge, but I have been inspired by many of the Daily Painters I have seen, and felt drawn (no pun intended!) to join the movement. Fortunately, I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive. My goal is to create one small painting each day which I will post to this blog. I have always loved the arts, but only began painting a couple of years ago. I have been so fortunate to have had a wonderful mentor in Martin Ahrens. Martin and his wife Joyce Hall Ahrens are both incredible artists and instructors who emphasize the importance of light and shadows in making a painting come to life. I hope that you will enjoy my work. Please don't hesitate to comment, either positively or negatively. I hope to never stop learning and growing!

Love this painting!! Do you sell prints of it? Irene (Renee Lean's friend)
Thanks so much for your nice compliment and for your interest! I had not planned to sell prints, but will be happy to look into it and let you know how much it would cost. I really appreciate your asking - hope you have a wonderful weekend!
